| FISHING ART The month of April is a special time of year, a time of renewal, a time to watch nature evolve after what has been an intense winter season. One sign of this renewal in Connecticut is the opening day of trout fishing season on Sunday, April 17th. In celebrating this time of year and the anticipation of spring time, the Gallery at Lighthouse, Groton has invited artists to show their work related to fishing and thus, FISHING ART, the title of our April show. Local artists Greg Ames, Mark Twiss, Caleb Rose, Peter Jacobson, Ted Hendrickson and several others have contributed to this exhibit focused on fishing. Our artist’s reception is on Friday, April 1st from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Please join us and bring a fish story to share. Chris Rose, Gallery Director |
